Floristry Training College

Terms & Conditions

Academy Of Floral Art Terms and Conditions:

1. To enrol in a long Term Course, I understand I must pay the deposit (as stated under Course) and the balance in full at least one month prior to commencement date.

OR for Intensive Courses, I am aware I may enrol and pay $1,ooo if booking 2 mths prior to commencement, or pay half total, as deposit and balance 4 weeks prior to commencement or, at the very latest, 3 weeks prior; no bookings will be accepted after this we would be fully booked by that time; as well as Stock, Florist Sundries need to be purchased and fresh flowers need to be ordered in advance.

or, when I book a 1, 2 or 4 day Workshops of my choice, or Hobby/Home Design Classes, I am aware I must pay in full when making a reservation, at least  4 weeks, prior to commencing the class of my choice.

Please Note: We recommend that bookings are made as early as possible to ensure there is a space available in your preferred class.

2. I understand that the Academy does not accept responsibility for any accident, injury, damage or loss of property during my attendance there.

3. I am aware that courses and dates should not be changed once booked. However, any alterations would require 8 days notice by email. Should less notice be given, I accept that I must pay again for the flowers, if ordered, for the classes missed. Should I need to cancel for any reason, I am aware that my deposit is not refundable due to small class numbers. Should I commence my Course and cancel prior to completion, I am aware that no refund will be given.
Although, we do our best to assist when difficulties arise unexpectedly.

4. Should you have enrolled and payment is not complete, when agreed, or one month prior to commencement; your Course will be put back to the date stated by the Academy of Floral Art, to allow time for purchase of the Stock, Florist Sundries and fresh Flowers to be ordered for your Course and the Hotel booked if for the nights in between your classes (if necessary).

5. I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Rules and Regulations of the Academy of Floral Art’s policy.

6. Should your Teacher have an accident or become suddenly ill, the Academy will contact you by text and email to postpone the class, a future class date will be arranged with you as soon as possible, this would only be in an extreme case.

7. Missed lessons must be made up within the same period of your course dates booked, or these may not be available to make up due to fully booked classes. All missed classes will expire at the end of the year of the originally booked enrollment.

8. Should extreme circumstances or extreme weather conditions prevent Academy of Floral Art running their classes on the dates previously arranged, they reserve the right to postpone to a later date provided 72 hours notice is given. Flood, heavy rain, fire, extreme heat and strong winds would all make it impossible to attend Sydney Flower  Market to purchase fresh stock, (not to mention the quality of the flowers may also be affected by the extreme conditions); Students travelling long distances, could experience delays and hinder their trip to attend classes, or be unable to access the Academy by road. Too many risks would mean the Academy would have no choice but to postpone classes until a later date to suit both Students and the Academy.

Extra costs would be incurred for Students should the classes go ahead and then be interrupted half way through, due to inability to continue. Flowers being a perishable product, would affect the Academy’s final decision.
